Children licenced to carry guns on our streets

It has been recently revealed that children as young as 10 YEARS OLD are being licenced to CARRY GUNS all accross England & Wales. This is absolutely disgraceful and should not be allowed to continue.

The statistcs for children (and if you class a child as anyone under the age of 21, the numbers are staggering) using guns in criminal activities should ring alarm bells immediately that this can't continue any longer. How many young black males in London need to die before we do something about this madness and enact a total ban?

We call for children currently licenced to hold any firearms to be immediately jailed for a minimum of 10 years. This will act as a deterent to anyone who wishes to commit murder.

It has been revealed that household items sold as 'staple guns' and 'staplers' can be converted into deadly weapons which could be used to kill and maim on our streets. Sold for as little as £3 on the internet and hardware stores, staple guns can be purchased without identity and easily converted to fire ammunition by simply attaching a piece of pipe, after which they can be sold to gangsters who terrorize our streets.


A UK based website going by the name 'Tooled-Up.com' boasts "(this is a) heavy-duty Sharp Shooter AntiJam Staple Gun. Easy push handle feature. Aluminium cast housing for greater durability. Lock down handle for easier storage."


A spokesperson for The Gun Control Network commented; "It's clear that if we are to take gun crime seriously, all avenues that criminals take to obtain firearms need to be closed. We expect the government to evaluate the laws surrounding the sale of these and move to licence or ban them completely."

This comes in the wake of recent legislation banning replica guns and race starting pistols, but this development puts into to quetion whether our laws go far enough. It is not known how many of these are possessed in the UK, as there is no system of registration in place. The retailers we contacted declined to comment.

ELYRIA, Ohio - Surveillance cameras were rolling as the owner of a carry-out in Elyria faced a life and death struggle, when a would-be robber tried to force his way into the store Monday morning.

The man eventually succeeded in getting through the door in the drive-thru, but the owner had a surprise for him, a gun she carries in her hip pocket.

She tells Fox 8 "I reacted as fast as I could, trying to put a barrier between him and I saw him breaking through that door and I shot him."

Once the tables have been turned on the bandit, he ran away.

The owner does not want to to be identified but says her store had been held up earlier this month, and she was acting on instinct when she fired at the suspect.

I can't believe the selfishness and gun ready nature of American gun owners. Having a gun in a situation ALWAYS makes that situation worse, it really is that simple. Whatever it is, robbery, rape - the presence of a gun automatically brings deadlyness to an already bad situation.

ALBANY, GA (WALB) – A suspect in a Moultrie armed robbery is dead, shot by the owner of a business he tried to rob.

Monday night, two men tried to rob a woman outside the Cuban restaurant she owns.

One of them shot her, but the woman's husband fired back. She's recovering, but one of the robbers was found dead today near the restaurant.

Since school let out Moultrie Police have seen an increase in armed robberies. Police weren't surprised that some owners are arming themselves to protect their businesses from this type of crime.

Since when has vigilantism ever been the answer? There is simply no justification for responding in a manner that leads to someone being shoot. It was bad enough that the criminal had a gun and shot his wife but the owner arming himself in response was an irresponsible escalation of violence on his part. Daily stories like this highlight the increasing danger the gun culture trend has in the US and the impact it exports over here with gun crime rising by as much as 50 percent in the capital and burglaries involving the use of guns at a record rise

We must continue to lobby the government to make sure this type of 'wild west' culture does not happen here. Guns have no place in a civilized society.

Another disgusting act of gun violence. Hopefully this homeowner will be punished severely for violating the city's noble handgun ban, which was in place for his own good. Better he die knowing fully well he was doing his bit for a gun free society than to become a filthy horrible gun criminal.

An 80-year-old Chicago man shot and killed an armed man who broke into his two-story house in a pre-dawn home invasion Wednesday on the city's West Side.

At about 5:20 a.m., the homeowner and his wife, also in her 80s, discovered the intruder entering their home through a back door. The homeowner, who had a gun, confronted and killed the burglar on the doorstep, police said. Cops said the intruder also fired his gun during the struggle.

"It's a good thing they had a gun, or they might be dead," said Curtis Thompson, who lives next door to the couple, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

Neighbors described the elderly couple, who both walk with canes, as pillars of the community in Garfield Park, where home invasions have been all too frequent.

Their neighbor, Shaquite Johnson, told MyFoxChicago that the two are "heroes" for fighting off the attacker — and that the shooting means there is "one less criminal" walking the streets.
"They don't bother no one, so why would anyone do that to them?" she said.

Why this horrible, evil women isn't being sentenced to prison for 10 years is beyond me. Guns are ONLY tools of murder, afterall. By possessing this gun, she is no doubt a ticking time bomb waiting to carry out a drive-by shooting or similar.
